Achievements: Prof. Kirkland has published more than 160 journal articles, and is the author of 5 books. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Mathematical Society and a former President of the International Linear Algebra Society (2008-2014). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences, and since 2006 he has been an Editor in Chief of the journal Linear and Multilinear Algebra.
