Achievements: He completed his PhD in Statistics at Hong Kong Baptist University (1996) and did his Postdoctoral Research in Statistics at Rothamsted Experimental Station, UK (1996-1999). He is the fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (2007 to present) and elected member of the International Statistical Institute (2007 to present), Turing Fellow, The Alan Turing Institute, London, UK, and Chair, The Royal Statistical Society Manchester Local Group, UK. He has over 62 publications in reputed journals and is a co-author in one book. He has supervised 4 student theses.
