Achievements: N.Eagambaram completed his M. Sc. in Statistics from Annamalai University in 1976. He worked as Lecturer in Statistics at Annamalai University teaching P.G students of Statistics till the end of 1977. Thereafter, he joined the Indian Statistical Service and retired from the service as Deputy Director General (Statistics) in 2012. He
worked in the Union Ministries of Agriculture, Industry and Statistics. He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi in 1989 in the area of Generalized Inverses of Matrices and Linear Complementarity Problem. He was deputed by the International Monetary Fund to serve as IMF-Advisor of National Accounts in Bangladesh for a period from January, 2014 through October, 2015. In the recent past, he served as a guest faculty in the Department of Mathematics at IIT-M, Chennai, India and presently teaching Mathematical Finance at IIT, Tirupati, India. He has sustained interest in research in Generalized Inverses of Matrices and its applications.
