Research Interests: Biostatistics, Bootstrap Methods, Causal Bioinformatics, Inference, Compound Decision, Clustering and Classification, Empirical Bayes, Nonparametrics, Proteomics, Rank Tests, Genomics Personalized Medicine, Survival Analysis, Time Series Analysis.

Achievements: He completed his B. Stat, M. Stat at Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta and PhD at Michigan State University, East Lansing(1988). He has published over 164 research articles in the reputed journals. He held many administrative positions such as Vice-Chair, Biostatistics PhD Program Director, Biostatistics Graduate Coordinator. Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA. He has done many academic visits to institutions across the globe.
He develops novel statistical methods for analyzing public health, dental and biomedical data. His collaborative research interests include bioinformatics, spinal cord injury research, plant pathology and informatics-based materials science research. His research projects have been supported by grants from the US National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Security Agency. He is Elected Member of International Statistical Institute, Elected Fellow of American Statistical Association, and Elected Fellow of Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He has served as a director of over 20 doctoral dissertation committees.
