Achievements: Prof. TSSRK Rao had his undergraduate education in Vijayawada. He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Andhra University and PhD from Indian Statistical Institute. He was C.E.C Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Mathematical Institute 1, Free University of Berlin.
Prof. TSSRK Rao was member of the governing council of ISI from September 2007 to August 2011, September 2012-August 2014 and November 2015 till date. He is presently Adjunct Professor at PSPH, MAHE, Manipal and Visiting Professor at Ashoka University, Sonipat, Haryana.
The main areas of research interest of Prof. TSSRK Rao are Geometry of Banach spaces, Vector Measures, Tensor Product spaces, L^1-predual theory, Choquet theory, Function algebras, and approximation theory. He has published more than 100 research papers in these areas in national and international journals
Prof. TSSRK Rao has been a member on editorial boards of proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Springer-ISI series, Operators and Matrices.
Prof. TSSRK Rao is fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences, Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship 2015-16, Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Fellowship 2011-12, Senior Research Fellowship of the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Bologna, Indo-EEC Post-Doctoral Fellowship-1991, awarded a Gold Medal and Professor S. Meenakshisundaram prize for the performance in the MSC final year examinations. He is reviewer for Zentral Blatt and Mathematical reviews. He is also member of the American Mathematical Society, European Mathematical Society and also life member of Ramanujan Mathematical Society.
