National Workshop on Computational Linear Algebra and Graph Theory Using SageMath

CARAMS, MAHE (Matrix Analysis and its Applications Chapter) is pleased to announce a three-day national workshop on ‘Computational Linear Algebra and Graph Theory using SageMath (SageMath2024)’, scheduled from December 19 to December 21, 2024. This workshop aims to equip participants with a solid foundation in the computational techniques of linear algebra and graph theory using SageMath, an open-source mathematical software system. Designed for students and professionals from disciplines such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, and Engineering, the program will feature hands-on sessions, practical demonstrations, and discussions on real-world applications. Topics include eigenvalues, matrix decompositions, graph construction, spectral analysis, and community detection, providing a comprehensive platform to enhance computational and analytical skills.

Objective of the workshop

SageMath2024 will introduce participants to the versatile computational capabilities of SageMath, focusing on foundational topics in Computational Linear Algebra and Graph Theory. The workshop will cover essential skills such as setting up and navigating SageMath, integrating Python, and understanding its syntax.
